Why Connect?
At Fairborn UMC we strongly believe in the power of relationship. Relationships are vital in our lives and on our Christian journey. We all have been created with a desire for relationships and the need to be part of a community. Connection Groups are about sharing life together and discovering how the love of God can transform hearts and lives. Each of our Connection Groups strive to connect you to a deeper relationship with God, each other, and the world.
What is a Connection Group?
A Connection Group is a group of 5-12 people that agree to meet on a regular basis with the goals of creating, developing and sustaining healthy, meaningful relationships. Our groups vary by interest, life stages, and location. Some groups may do Bible studies, a book or video study, while others may gather together over other activities or projects.
We want you to grow in your relationships with God and each other while doing something you are interested in. We also encourage each Connection Group to be in ministry and mission within the community and world around them. The body of Christ grows as we enter into humble service with God’s people.
How long is the commitment?
Our groups run for 12 weeks, and typically the groups meet once a week during these 12 weeks. We know that interests change along with our schedules. We encourage you to commit to the 12 weeks in order to give these relationships a chance to grow and deepen. Listed below is our yearly schedule for our Connection Groups.
