We, at Fairborn UMC, know that this life is sometimes a challenge. However, regardless of the challenge, we are called to continue growing in our faith and on our journey with Christ and each other. We encourage and ask people to consider what means for them to take the next steps that bring them closer to Christ. Transformation, Life Change, and Long-term spiritual growth happen through spending time alone with God, through Bible reading and prayer, and by being connected to a group with like-minded individuals who are challenging each other to grow. Ways for you to GROW at Fairborn UMC: Starting Point – This is a class that is highly encouraged for seekers, new believers, returners to the faith, or those seeking membership into the church. Also, those who attend Starting Point, find out where they belong in the redemptive story of Christ in the context of their life. Starting point meets for 10 weeks starting in October, February, and June. Connection Groups - A Connection Group is a group of 5-12 people that agree to meet on a regular basis with the goals of creating, developing, and sustaining healthy, meaningful relationships. Our groups vary by interest, life stages, and location. Some groups may do Bible studies, a book or video study, while others may gather together to do activities or projects. Fairborn UMC is a place where kids can have fun & grow up knowing that being a follower of Jesus is important, as well as, fun and exciting! Our children's ministry is a safe and loving environment for infants - 5th grade. On Sunday mornings and during our weekly program A.M.P, children will engage in fun, hands-on activities and interactive worship created especially for their developmental stage. Bible Reading Plan - We here at Fairborn UMC believe that it is important to investigate and understand the God of the Universe through the studying of the scripture. We encourage each and every person to get started on developing a plan to read God's Word. (click the 'You Version' link in the footer of the each page.) |
