Meet Our Leadership Team

 

The Leadership team at Fairborn UMC, although very different, have a few things in common.  We all desire to see people who are disconnected from God come into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ; and we are passionate about "Making Church Relevant" to all those whom we meet. Aaron would be the first to admit that he married up and has a beautiful wife named Ali.  Together they have three wonderful kids and have recently added another via a foreign exchange student. Aaron has several hobbies such as, Training Horses; Rock climbing, Martial arts, Basketball, playing anything with his kids and going out on dates with his wife. Aaron has a deep passion for two things outside his family, God and Leadership.  As he is an avid student, you will probably catch him studying one of these two subjects or hanging out with his family.

Meghan recently joined the leadership team at Fairborn UMC.  She and her husband, John, have two awesome kids, and are truly blessed to be at Fairborn UMC.  Meghan loves hanging out with her kids and husband, playing the guitar, and doing anything that involves a sporting activity.  Even though she thought she would never be a pastor, Meghan will tell you that she has the greatest job in the world - she gets to teach people about the amazing grace and love of our God every day.  One final note: Go Steelers!

Melody was raised in Fairborn and has attended FUMC since 1998.  She has her undergraduate degree from Miami University of Ohio and her graduate degree in anthropology from Kent State University. While she never planned on a career in the church, she answered God's calling and has since been infinitely blessed with the opportunity to teach children about Christ.  In addition to church activities, Melody enjoys reading, watching movies and is active in local community theater.

Lori has been our Administrative Assistant for several years and she feels blessed to be a part of Fairborn UMC.  Prior to coming to FUMC, she worked at The Berry Company in Dayton for over 23 years in the Human Resources Department.  When God closes a door, he opens a window…well open it He did.  Lori’s open window was the chance to work here, and she continues to be so thankful for the opportunity.  She feels so blessed to be a part of this staff, this church, and this church family.  After feeling so connected and finding something that’s been missing in her life, Lori and her husband, Rob, joined the church as members.  Lori and Rob have two (grown) daughters, Holly and Kelli, as well as a grandson, Zach. Lori loves spending time with her family, reading, and keeping Zach out of trouble!

Mary Gale grew up in the Chicago area and attended Illinois Wesleyan University where she received a BA in Elementary Education and met her future husband Jim.  Mary and Jim moved to Fairborn in 1989 when the Air Force sent Jim, a B52 radar navigator, to Wright Patterson AFB after their family had lived in GA, CA, SD, and ND.  When Jim retired they decided to make Fairborn their home.  Mary has attended our church since she first moved here and has been the director of the preschool/daycare in our church since 1996.  She has worked in the field of Early Childhood since 1982.  Mary and her husband have 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
