Welcome to SnakPaks for Kids!
![]() In today's economy, the number of people living in poverty is astounding. We have been made aware that some (though not all) of the children that are on free and reduced lunches at school do not have enough food to eat on the weekends. In an effort to help these kids, Fairborn United Methodist Church is starting up a program to help the Fairborn Primary School children. This program is called SnakPaks for Kids!
Starting this Fall, Fairborn United Methodist Church (working with the Fairborn City Schools) plans to pack bags -"SnakPaks" - of non-perishable food for the children that are on this SnakPak program. The children will receive these SnakPaks on Fridays.
To support the SnakPak program, Fairborn United Methodist Church sponsored a “Feet for Food 5K Race” on May 7th. The event was successful and donations are still being accepted. If you want to make a monetary donation to this worthwhile project, checks can be made payable to Fairborn United Methodist Church and just note on the check that it's for the SnakPak project. You will make a difference these children will never forget. For a list of Donated Items click here. For more information, contact the church office at lryan@fslumc.org |
