Making Church Relevant

iServe

We have the opportunity to serve all those who come through the doors of Fairborn UMC.  Whetehr that service is during our Sunday worship services, within various groups or serving for other functions – we believe everyone can serve and make an impact somewhere. We encourage individuals to seek out their spiritual gifts and find a place to serve that fits their giftedness and abilities. Through iServe we can serve one another while building the body of Christ as a whole.

Areas You Can Serve:

Greeter Team - The greeters at Fairborn UMC are a vital part of the ministry of the church.  The Greeters need two things:  a smile and willingness to welcome all who enter the doors of Fairborn UMC.  The Greeters not only offer a warm welcome to people as they enter, but they also help orient folks if they are new to Fairborn UMC.

Coffee Hour Team - Many of us today are looking for something to break the ice of conversation. A coffee or beverage could do just that; however, not without someone serving them with a smile. Be a part of this ministry that can create an impact in the lives of the people that walk through the doors.

Tech/Worship Team - Both Sunday worship services require many people. There are opportunities to serve in the areas of media/production, stage hands, tech, sound equipment, etc. If you are gifted in one of these areas and are interested in serving then let us know.

Children's Minstry - There are so many ways to give back to both the church, and to God for all the blessings He has given us. If you feel called to serve and work with children, and to share your faith with the future of our church, contact our Children's Ministry Director Melody VanderKolk, melody.vanderkolk@gmail.com, to express your interest.

Connection Group Leader - We are constantly looking for people who are willing and passionate about leading a Connection Group.  We offer training classes for Group Leaders four times a year.  If you are interseted in leading book studies, Bible studies, fellowship groups, activity groups, etc., we ask that you prayerfully consider becoming a Connection Group leader.  For more information about serving within this area contact Meghan Howard, revhoward18@gmail.com.

We have many other areas of service within Fairborn UMC.  For more information please contact Lori Ryan, lryan@fslumc.org
